Dr. Waleed El-Ansary will discuss Islamic Economics on Forgiveness of Debt and Welcoming the Stranger at the Sept. 7, 2017 Jubilee Forum.

“Dr. Waleed will discuss the Islamic view on forgiveness of debt and welcoming the stranger. He will provide a holistic worldview of Islamic Economics and the need for a new paradigm in conventional economics,” the event description states. Dr. Waleed is the University Chair of Islamic Studies at Xavier University.

Hosted by the Economics of Compassion Initiative, Jubilee Forums convene a range of citizens to identify and start to shift the landscape of credit and debt in Cincinnati neighborhoods. Peter Block will facilitate a discussion with participants and Dr. Claver Pashi will share about Jurisdiction Resident Advisory Board initiatives.

The event runs 6-8 p.m. at the Worship and Ministry Center at Cincinnati Christian University.
