Rabbi Miriam Terlinchamp shares how the Temple Sholom (Cincinnati) congregation is changing its relationship with money. Forgiving debts. Selling their building. Re-enacting the Exodus concept. “Faith is portable,” she says. “And that our story is bigger than just one community, one building, one space. One generation is bigger than that.”

She explains how in prior times money was part of connection and a point of trust with one another. Lending between Jews was from the heart, without financial gain. She also shares a personal story demonstrating how debt forgiveness played a role in her family’s life.
